Marcin Kober, actually Mikołaj Marcin Kober (c. 1550-1598), born in Wrocław, portrait painter. From 1583, court painter to Stefan Batory, later under the patronage of Rudolf II. From 1589 or 1590, he was associated with the court of Sigismund III Vasa. The author of numerous royal effigies. He signed two works: a portrait of Stefan Batory from 1583 and a portrait of Anna Jagiellonka from 1591 or 1595. He died before 9 November 1598.
