The tombstone of Marie Leszczynska is still preserved in the basement of the Saint-Denis basilica. It bears the inscription:

Below is a plaque with the Queen's coat of arms: a five-field Polish-Lithuanian shield with an Eagle and Pogo alternating. The central field shows Wieniawa (a bull's head with a thorn in its nostrils), the Leszczyński family coat of arms. Maria Leszczyńska died on 24 June in Versailles. She was buried in the Saint-Denis Abbey near Paris. Her heart was placed with her father's body in Nancy Cathedral.
