A plaque commemorating Nobel Prize winner Czeslaw Milosz was unveiled to mark the centenary of his birth. The plaque was placed in the courtyard named after Professor Maciej Kazimierz Sarbiewski on the wall of the Vilnius University Philology Faculty. In addition to the poet's biography and bas-relief, the granite plaque features the famous opening fragment of a poem written by Czesław Miłosz in exile in 1963: "I could never depart from you, the city...".
