Information about the object:
The Cathedral's "Treasury", the storage area of the Cathedral, contains many artefacts of varying historical and artistic value and in a very different degree of preservation. Among these artefacts are also reliquaries. All of the reliquaries, prior to the work, remained in a very poor state of preservation.

The reliquaries are constructed from a variety of materials. The wooden components are joined by carpentry and metal joints. They are decorated with bas-reliefs, carvings, architectural profiles, and are polychromed and gilded. There are also metal decorative elements, glass, textiles (relic packaging) and, of course, biological remains, sometimes described in pouches. All the reliquaries have, to a greater or lesser extent, damaged body structures, some fragments are partially preserved; individual decorative elements remain detached or lost. The wood has been infested by insects and is severely damaged in places; microbial infestation can also be expected. The entire collection is highly contaminated. The body structures are damaged, either as a result of the poor condition of the wood or as a result of damaged metal joints. The decorative elements: carvings, bas-reliefs, architectural profiles are mostly damaged, broken, there are extensive losses in all technological layers; some elements have not yet been found. The polychromes and gilding, heavily soiled, are mechanically damaged, frayed, with numerous losses; local repainting cannot be ruled out. The metal elements are deformed, corroded in places. Some of the glazing is completely or partially destroyed, and fragments of fabric have deteriorated.

Completed works:
Three reliquaries, the most representative of all the reliquaries collected in the church, were selected for the work funded by the task for conservation work.
