The publication contains materials from the 41st Permanent Conference of Polish Museums, Archives and Libraries in the West (MAB) presented 14-18 September 2019 in Lublin.

The proceedings of the XLI session of the MAB were part of the celebrations of the 100th anniversary of Poland's regaining independence. They were both an opportunity to recall the role of Emigration in laying the foundations of the reborn Polish state and to summarise the activities carried out by member institutions related to this anniversary.

The MAB as an organisation was established in 1979 at the Polish Museum in Rapperswil. It brings together institutions working outside the country for the benefit of Polish émigrés and those providing care for Polish cultural heritage, collecting the achievements of Polish culture and promoting the diversity of Polish culture around the world.
