Former headquarters of the Polish Legions in Milan

In the centre of Milan, at Via del Lauro 7-9, there is a building which housed the headquarters of the Polish Legions in Italy from 1797 to 1805.
On the façade, close to the corner of the building, a plaque with an inscription in Italian is embedded. The inscription on it states: "For our freedom and yours! In this building from 1797 to 1805 was the quarters of General Jan H. Dabrowski, commander of the Polish Legions in Italy, which fought for the freedom of Poland and for the unification of Italy."
