Augustine Gałęzowska, née Tamberlick (26.04.1849 - 3.02.1918) - the socially active daughter of the celebrated tenor Enric Tamberlick, had to cope with a temporary loss of sight in her youth, thanks to which she met her future husband, the Polish physician Xawery Gałęzowski, who was active in Paris. They married in 1872, and this relationship resulted in six children: Wanda (1874-1906), Henri (1875-1938), Jean (1877-1937), Maria (1880-1965) - Hedwige (1882-1886), Mathilde (1882-?). The four are buried with their parents in the family tombstone chiseled by Cyprian Godebski at Père-Lachaise Cemetery.
