Françoise Tamberlick, née Ballaran, born 1830 in Naples, Italy, died 26 August 1884 in Saint-Germain-en-Laye, France, aged 54, buried in Père Lachaise cemetery, Paris, 28 August 1884, after a service at the parish church of Saint-François-de-Sales (rue Brémentier). The death was reported by her husband Henri César Auguste Tamberlick (a pensioner) and Xavier François Galezowski (an ophthalmologist). The declaration of death took place at the deceased's home address in Paris, 38 rue Fortuny, and is recorded in the archives of the Department of Yvelines in Saint-Germain-en-Laye No. 400 of 1884. Françoise was the mother of Alfred Tamberlick (1860-1915) and Augusta Gałęzowska (1849-1918). In addition, contradictory records have been recorded in documents, including the misspelling of the surname as 'Tamberlich' in various sources.

Henri Tamberlick, actually Enrico Tamberlick, born on 16 March 1820 in Rome, died on 13 March 1889 in Paris, was an Italian lyric artist, an operatic tenor who was highly regarded in the leading opera houses of Europe and America. He excelled in heroic roles of the Italian and French repertoire, gaining fame for his powerful declamations and high tones. He was the son of Raphaël Tamberlick and Gertrude Daniele. He was a Knight of many decorations, including the Order of St Maurice and Lazarus, Charles III and Commander of the Order of Isabella Catholic. He died on 13 March 1889 at the age of 69 at his home at 103 Boulevard Haussmann in Paris, where he was also buried in the Père Lachaise cemetery on 16 March 1889, following a service at the parish church of Saint-Augustin. His death was reported by his son Alfred Tamberlick, Dr Xavier Galezowski and his wife, his sons-in-law Henri and Jean Galezowski, Misses Wanda and Marie Galezowski (grandchildren), Mr Bartolini and his wife and children, the widow Mazzotti and her children, Joseph Galezowski and his wife, Jean Lipkowski and his wife, his sisters, brothers-in-law, nephews and cousins. It is worth mentioning that some sources incorrectly record the surname as "Tamberlich".

Alfred Tamberlick, son of Enrico Tamberlick (the famous tenor) and Francesca (Françoise) Ballarani, brother of Augusta Gałęzowska, died on 30 July 1915 in Paris. In 1890, he married Juliette Henriette Eugénie Abbadie in L'Isle-Adam (Val-d'Oise). He was inspector of the Northern Railway. Alfred was also known in the Polish community as the brother of Augusta Gałęzowska, wife of Dr Jan Gałęzowski, a lawyer, and uncle of Maria Gałęzowska, a painter, and Henryk Gałęzowski. His death was announced in the press, including in 'Polonia: revue hebdomadaire polonaise', as well as in 'Bulletin Polonais'.

Odette Esther Elisa Levylier was born on 7 January 1893 in Rouen (Seine-Inférieure), the daughter of Alfred Roger Levylier (1847-1928) and Alice Marie Halphen (1865-1944). She died on 25 November 1943 at the German concentration camp Auschwitz, although the date of her death was originally given as 20 November 1943 in Drancy (Seine). She was married to Jean Ladislas Galezowski, whom she married on 1 August 1918 in Paris. From her marriage to Jean Galezowski she had children Wanda Alice Galezowski (born 1919 in Paris, died 2001 in Norwalk, Connecticut, USA, wife of Robert Lyle Ramsey), Isa Galezowski (born 1925) and Alain Galezowski (deceased). Her death was confirmed by 'Mort pour France' (AdP AD Paris 16 No 1291 of 1947).

Tombstone originally exhibited for Françoise Tamberlick (d. 1884) wife of Enrico, mother-in-law of Xavier Galezowski , the sculpture was presented at the Salon in 1886. under no. 3961, as "Tombeau de Mme Tamberlick" "Le Tombeau est le grand style: un ange aux ailes déployées, assis sur urne funéraire, sème de fleurs autour de cette urne" "Revue de Centre" no. 6 of 16 August 1886, pp. 242); Explication des ouvrages de peinture, sculpture, architecture, gravure, et lithographie des artistes vivants exposés au Palais des Champs-Elysées e 1er Mai 1886, Paris 1886 p. 329: 'Tombeau de Mme Tamberlick, marbre- pour cimetière Père Lachaise - Appartient à la famille Tamberlick'.

Paris Chronicle, Literary, Scientific and Artistic, Grave monument of Mrs Tamberlick, chiseled by Cypryan Godebski , "Biblioteka Warszawska", 1886 T. 2 pp. 83-84 s. 62: Just today, after finishing our chronicle, we saw in Mr Godebski's workshop , an excellent work by this master, a tomb monument, intended for Mrs Tamberlick, the wife of a famous tenor, and mother of Mrs Gałęzowska, the wife of a famous ophthalmologist. The idea is full of poetry. On the sarcophagus we see a seated angel wearing a wreath, with a star above his forehead. Wrapped in a flowing drapery, he supports in it a profusion of flowers; he drops one of them to the ground, his right hand extended forward, rounded from the shoulder with incomparable grace. The angel's figure is airy, heavenly, radiant. From beneath the drapery, he peeps through a body modelled softly with a masterly chisel. The whole is full of simplicity and extraordinary harmony. It is an angel of consolation, a messenger from God, who sweetens the grief and longing of the orphaned with the hope of immortality. This statue will adorn the May Day salon;

Conc. under the auspices of the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Paris and TOZ (2007).
