Cemetery of Polish legionaries killed in 1915.

In the forest behind the village there is a Legion cemetery. Polish soldiers of the 4th infantry regiment of the Legions, killed in the autumn of 1915 during the battles against the Russians on the Styr and Stochod rivers, were buried there. The cemetery survived the Second World War and the communist period, but was badly damaged. In 1998, scouts from the Zgierz Scouting and Guiding Association (ZHP) set up a tall wooden cross in the centre of the cemetery. In 2004 the cemetery was renovated by scouts and UNIBUD BEP sp. z o.o., the Council for the Protection of Struggle and Martyrdom Sites financed the works. The central alley leading from the forest track to the monument was made, the terrain was leveled and cleaned, a fence was demarcated, and crosses were placed on the graves. The ceremonial consecration of the renovated necropolis took place on 27 August 2005, assisted by local authorities and guests from Poland. The cemetery is rectangular in plan, measuring 18.3 x 43.5 m, and contains about 150 graves, situated in five rows. In the centre of the necropolis stands a tall wooden cross, at its foot is a plaque with the inscription: "And those who, having endured hardship, / lay forever in this battle, / may they rest in peace. // To the memory of the soldiers of the 4th infantry regiment of the Polish Legions buried here who fell in the autumn of 1915 in heavy battles on the Styr and Stochod. / To the Soldiers of Independence of Grateful Poland. // 2004 / Council for the Protection of Remembrance of Struggle and Martyrdom".
