Cemetery in Ivano-Frankivsk (formerly Yaniv nad Veresitza)

Located in the western part of the town, the Catholic cemetery was probably established in the second half of the 19th century, judging by the dates preserved on the gravestones. The oldest Polish monument found is that belonging to Jan Henryk Breyner (d. 1877). The cemetery has partially preserved its former spatial layout, especially the main alleys. It is still active and maintained "relatively well". However, some tombstones are vandalised or lacking inscriptions.

According to Hauser, a few valuable monuments survive there, such as that belonging to the murdered Jan Lewicki, with a large statue of Our Lady and Child covered by a tin canopy. The details of his executioners were removed with a hammer.

Also noteworthy are the gravestones with obelisks: Helena (died 1915) and Władysław (died 1931) Piotrowski made in the Tyrowicz workshop in Lviv, or Ludwik and Anastasia Hecht from the workshop of A. Król.
