Cemetery in Wygnanka

The cemetery is located near the railway station. Only three Polish tombstones have been found there, among them that of Wincentyna Sliwinska (d. 1889), the wife of a state railway official, buried in a common grave with her one-year-old daughter Zonia, who had died a little earlier. The inscription on the monument commemorating them reads: "Sister! You left me and Daddy with Mummy. You are peaceful but we are sad - ask God to reunite us one day in this grave. The hope of an imminent reunion of the family, now separated by death, is expressed by the confident farewell "Goodbye!" on the plaque at the front.
