T.S.L. People's House in Potočko.

For a number of years, the Polish population living in the Potočko hamlet, which is part of the Stecowa municipality, had been calling for a centre to centralise their work. Last year, under the leadership of the district chief administrative officer, Mr Jan Wieser, a committee was set up to build a community centre in Potočko. Thanks to the energetic efforts of both the Committee chairman and the deputy mayor, Mr Stanisław Krzyształowski, and with the help of the Labour Fund, the Committee started building the house at the end of July 1935, and today the building is already under roof.

It should be noted with appreciation that the entire population of the Sniatyn district rose to the occasion and, with their generous donations, contributed and continues to contribute to the completion of the work begun. The Committee and the people of Potočko were delighted to receive a library of a hundred and several dozen books on literature, Polish history and economic affairs donated to the People's House by the Board of Directors of the Society for the Development of Eastern Territories in Warsaw, following the very kind support of Professor Kazimierz Skórewicz. In addition, the Sniatyn District Department donated the sum of 300 zloty for the furnishing of a common room.
