Biography:

Henryk Kuna (1879-1945), born in Warsaw, son of Adam and Leonia née Bywalska. He studied sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in the atelier of Pius Weloński. He then continued his education at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków under Konstanty Laszczka. He was one of the founders of the Association of Polish Artists 'Rytm'. He created numerous sculptures, including the work "Rhythm", which is located in Skaryszewski Park in Warsaw, the monument to Adam Mickiewicz in Vilnius, the bust of Marshal Piłsudski in Rome at Viale Maresciallo. In 1936, he began teaching sculpture 1936 at the Stefan Batory University in Vilnius.
