Biography:

Józef Tadeusz Padlewski (1863-1945), born in Odesa, architect. He studied at the Institute of Civil Engineers (1891) and the Academy of Fine Arts in St Petersburg (1895). He taught drawing and construction at the St Petersburg Polytechnic and Institute of Technology. Between 1899 and 1905 he was involved in the construction of the St Petersburg Polytechnic Institute complex, working as a member of the author's team. On his return to Poland, he took up the post of head of the construction department at the Ministry of Communications.
