Biography:

Katarzyna Kozyra born in 1963 in Warsaw, sculptor, author of installations, photography and video art.

She studied German studies at the University of Warsaw (1985-1988) and then graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (1993) and the Hochschule für Graphik und Buchkunst in Leipzig (1998).

Her works, including "Pyramid of Animals" (1993), "Olympia" (1996), "Female Bath" (1997) and "Male Bath" (1999), provoked numerous discussions. In 1999, she represented Poland at the Venice Biennale, where she received an honorary mention.

In 2022, her 'Pyramid of Animals' was named one of the ten most important artworks of the last 30 years by the weekly magazine Polityka.
