Biography:

Kazimierz Skarżyński (1792-1856), born in Gawłów, son of Jerzy Skarżyński and Bibianna, née Lanckorońska, Brigadier-General of the November Rising. An officer in the armies of the Duchy of Warsaw and the Kingdom of Poland. He fought in the campaigns of 1809 and 1812, at Leipzig, and in the November Rising of 1830-1831 (Grochów, Ostrołęka).

From 1831, he went into exile in France. Died on 21st August 1856 in Boulogne-sur-Mer. Buried in the Père-Lachaise Cemetery in Paris (annual number 2170, general number 133418), transferred from Boulogne-sur-Mer.
