Biography:

Maria Leszczyńska (1703-1768), born in Trzebnica, daughter of Stanislaus Leszczyński and Catherine Opalinska, Polish royal, queen of France. In 1725, she married Louis XV, making her queen of France until 1768. At the Court of Versailles, she organised weekly concerts of Polish choirs, promoting native culture. She had ten children. She was a practising Catholic.
