Michał Tarnowski (aka Michel de Tarnowski) (1870-1946) - French sculptor of Polish origin; France, United States. Education: school of fine arts École Nationale des Arts Décoratifs at Villa Arson in Nice, private art studies with Jules Dalou and then J.A. Falguière in Paris. In the first decade of the 20th century he stayed in the United States, where he was professor of sculpture at the New York University Institute of Fine Arts. Around 1910, he returned to France.
