Biography:

Mikolaj Kamienski (1799-1873), born in Tuszebin near Dubno, colonel, participant of the November Uprising (1830-1831). After the fall of the November Uprising, he went into exile, where he became associated with the Towiańczycy movement. In 1848, he commanded the Mickiewicz Legion in Lombardy during the Spring of Nations, and later took command of a regiment and brigade of Sultan Cossacks in Turkey.
