On a two-sided pedestal, a high tumulus with a flat lid, on the lid at the head, a low stele with the cross-section of a sarcophagus with a base, on it a tondo, on the front one and on the sides of the tumulus three wreath hangers.

"Kraj: politico-social weekly", "Petersburg", R. 4, no. 21 (7 June 1885) p. 20: "Unveiling of the Monument. On the grave of Adam Prażmowski , astronomer and optician, former senior adjunct at the Astronomical Observatory and professor at the Central School in Warsaw, who died in Paris on 5 February this year, the unveiling of a monument in the Père-Lachaise cemetery took place on 16 February this year. Professor St. Artwiński spoke at the ceremony . Among the many wreaths placed on the tomb, the most prominent was a wreath sent from Warsaw from "former pupils and colleagues of the late Mr Prażmowski". The white marble monument, decorated with a very similar medallion of the deceased, was made by the young sculptor Mr W. Marcinkowski" .
