Tombstone of Alphonse Leonovich

Burial site marked by a cast-iron cross preceded by a horizontal cast-iron inscription panel. At the intersection of the arms originally a silhouette of Christ crucified. Currently preserved fragment from the waist upwards, without the left arm. The whole is enclosed by a wrought-iron decorative fence. Originally a wicket in the right-hand corner at the front.

Gdy zwiędły Rodzicom wszystkie życia kwiaty / Gdy całą w grobie zagrzebały swą nadzieję / Wzniesłszy więc duszę w niebo płacząc / drogiej straty / Wołajcie niech się wola Twoja / Panie dzieje. / -.- / Alfon Leonowicz / zmarł 1850 r. mając wieku lat 14 / zostawiwszy Rodziców pogrążonych w głębokim smutku po stracie / Jedynaka //.

In the file of Wacław Wejtka, under the letter L, card number 46, dated 1936. According to the file, the location of the gravestone is sector "B1, IV row N3, from wall De towards boundary B". Description of the gravestone: "bronze plaque, above it a cross like this, iron lattice fence". The inscription also contains the following lines " Goodbye my dear parents / Alfons Leonowicz / laid to rest in God in 1850. / leaving his parents, immersed / in the greatest (deepest) sorrow (and despair) / after the loss of their only child //.". The notes add that Alphonse died at the age of 14 in 1850.
