The cemetery in Sniatyn contains the grave of Blessed Marta Wiecka. Marta Anna Wiecka was born on 12 January 1874 in Nowy Wiec in Pomerania. In April 1892 she was admitted to the postulancy of the Sisters of Charity in Krakow; on 12 August she began her novitiate; on 21 April 1893 she received the garb of a Sister of Charity; on 15 August 1897 she took her first vows. She worked in hospitals in Lviv, Podhajce, Bochnia and Sniatyn. She died of typhoid fever on 30 May 1904 in Sniatyn. She was beatified on 25 May 2008 in Lviv.
