On the pedestal is a stepped, flat, sloping slab with a plastic cross superimposed on its upper part; at the head, on a two-stepped cuboidal pedestal, a stele on a faceted base with a faceted panel topped by a small base on which may have originally been a cross; in the upper part of the panel is a relief branch with a flower. Inscriptions: on the stele in the faceted panel (1) and on the panel under the cross (2).

Haute Marne, AN Langres No. 148 of 1844).

Ferdinand's father Pierre Guillaume Pouchin de La Roche, a brigadier general, received the title of baron on 5 December 1811. A son and grandson titled themselves counts.

Ferdinand Achille comte de La Roche Pouchin de Rechefort St Louis , lieutenant general, aide-de-camp to the infante of the Duke of Parma , knight of the orders of Michael (Bavarian), grand cross of St Georges de Lucques (for military merit), commander of the order of Malta, Isabella the Catholic, knight of the order of Maurice and Lazarus, d. in Florence with the blessing of Pope Leo XIII (after a French hourglass private collection signed by the family of Count La Rochepouchin and the Czartoryski family); husband of Marie Czartoryska; born on 16 Frimaire XIII (7 December 1804) in Toulon, died on 18 February 1883 in Florence, aged 78.
