Tombstone of Karolina and Sabina Snitynski

Baworów | Ukraine

Burial place marked by a cross on a two-stage plinth and three-stage base. Cross on plinth, stylised arms, at their intersection a figure of Christ crucified. Above titulus and below in relief a skull with crossed tibias. Cross flanked by two figures on plinths. On the right is the Virgin and on the left is Mary. Both figures dressed in girded robes and cloaks. The figure of Mary has her hands joined on her chest and the figure of Doe holds a book in her right hand. The second step of the plinth is finished with a simplified beam, frieze and covered with a panel. On the front an oval frame framed by a palm wreath, inside an engraved inscription. On the sides panels closed with an arch. To the right an image of Saint Caroline and to the left an image of Saint Sabina. St. Caroline depicted full-figured, frontally. She is dressed in a gown and cloak. She holds her right hand on her chest and her left hand holds her cloak. St. Sabina depicted full-length, frontally. She is dressed in a gown and cloak. She holds her hands together on her chest.
