Tombstone of Nicholas Chabin

Hłuboczek Wielki | Ukraine

Burial place marked by a cross on a two-stage plinth and base. Cross on plinth with moulded upper edges. The arms of the cross terminating in a trilobed shape, at the intersection of the arms of the cross a relief carved figure of Christ, above it a titulus, below it a skull with tibias. The first step of the plinth with profiled upper edges. In front a panel with engraved inscription (1). The second step of the pedestal closed with a simplified beam, covered with a hipped roof with chamfered lower edges. On the side and rear walls, carved frames with quarter-circle chamfered corners. On the front side, a panel enclosed with a full arch, in which is a relief of St Nicholas portrayed frontally, wearing episcopal robes, mitre and with a pastoral under his left arm, in his hands a book and three crutches.

Inwentaryzacja cmentarzy dawnego powiatu buczackiego wykonana została w latach 2021-2022 9 przez zespół specjalistów z Instytutu Historii Sztuki Uniwersytetu Kardynała Stefana Wyszyńskiego w Warszawie i Muzeum Narodowego w Warszawie w składzie dr Paweł Drabarczyk vel Grabarczyk, dr. Bartłomiej Gutowski (kierownik projektu), dr Magdalena Olszewska dr Magdalena Tarnowska. Materiał opracowany został w formie kart ewidencyjnych obiektów zabytkowych i opublikowany w katalogu Instyttutu Polonika. Dokumentacja obejmuje wszystkie nagrobki związane z polskim dziedzictwem kulturowym (przede wszystkim rozstrzygający jest napis w języku polskim) powstałe przed 1945 rokiem.
