Cemetery in Chortkiv

Burial place marked by a cast-iron cross on a rock-shaped plinth. Cross of slats entwined with grapevine, leaf-shaped titulus above. Cross at base flanked by figures of Mary and St John. Below on the rocks an oblique metal inscription plaque framed by a snake (uroboros) swallowing its own tail. To the right a skull, above a palm leaf. The inscription is relief carved. The pedestal slightly tapering upwards, with chamfered upper edges, on the front a fragment of a cast-iron mount. The gravestone was created in 1887.

Córka matka żona / ten nagrobek stawia dla swoich najukochańszych. / Prosi o pozdowienie anielskie. / Z WISZNIOWSKICH / ERAZMINA SCHATTAUER / 1887 //.
