Tombstone of the Szotkowski family

Jabłonków | Czech Republic

Burial place marked by an iron cross on a plinth. The arms of the cross terminating in a stylised trillium form. At the intersection of the arms of the cross a titulus with the inscription INRI, below a figure of Christ. In the middle of the height of the vertical beam an oval plaque, surrounded by a floral wreath, framed at the bottom by crossed torches, with a painted inscription. The cross is wider at the bottom, framed at the sides by figures of winged angels with their hands folded in a prayer gesture. Dressed in knee-length robes. Long hair visible. They stand on clouds. The bases taper upwards, with chamfered top edges. Beside the gravestone lies a stone perpetuated cross, probably from another gravestone.
