Amid the tolling of bells and cannon salutes, the Marshal's heart will be laid to rest in the Ross Mausoleum.

According to the final programme, the funeral ceremony in Vilnius will begin on 11 May at 6 p.m. with the opening of an exhibition of mementoes entitled 'Marshal Piłsudski and Vilnius' in the library of Stefan Batory University. At 6.45 p.m. there will be a meeting at the railway station of the flagbearers by Colonel Pilsudski and the flag company of the 1st Legion Infantry Division.

At 7 p.m. there will be a funeral procession of the Vilnius garrison. At 8.00 p.m. - a roll call in Lukiskie Square, during which the names of those executed in the square in 1863 and those killed in the capture of Vilnius in 1919 and 1920 will be read out. At 8.45 p.m. - 21 cannon shots will be fired from the top of Třeikirėna Hill. At the same time prayers will start in St. Theresa Church, prayers and ringing of bells in all Vilnius temples and the crossing of floodlights over St. Theresa Church. During the prayers, the removal of the urn with the heart from the niche and the carrying out of the coffin with the ashes of the Marshal's Mother from the church basement will take place.

On Tuesday, the ceremony will begin with a welcome to the Lord President of the Republic, followed by a funeral service at 8.30 a.m. in the Ostrobramska church. During the laying of the urn and coffin in the mausoleum, a battery set up in the cemetery will fire 101 shots. At 8.45pm, the flag company will pay their respects at Rossa Cemetery in front of the mausoleum, while the orchestras will play a funeral march. The battery from Three Cross Mountain will give 21 shots.
