Adam Mickiewicz monument in Lida

In Lida, Belarus, there is a monument to Adam Mickiewicz in the city centre. The bust is by Valery Januszkiewicz and is made of bronze and stands on a granite pedestal. The monument was erected thanks to the initiative and efforts of the A. Mickiewicz Polish Culture Enthusiasts Club in Lida and the Polish community of the city, and its ceremonial unveiling took place on 2 July 1989.
