Monument to Alexander Jagiellon in Kaunas

A statue of Alexander Jagiellon, King of Poland and Grand Duke of Lithuania, was unveiled in Kaunas' Ramybės Park on 15 July 2024. The bronze sculpture by Ukrainian artists Oles Sydoruk and Boris Krylov was cast in Kyiv and then transported to Kaunas. The monument, more than five metres high and weighing about three tonnes, was financed by the Pranas Kiznis Foundation, and the site for its erection was chosen by the city's residents.
