Information about the object:
The task is the next stage of work on the Collegiate Church of St. Lawrence the Martyr in Zhovkva, Ukraine. In 2023, it is planned to carry out the conservation of the stone decoration of the south-east sacristy and to carry out strip excavations in the ground floor of the Collegiate Church, consisting of local scaling of plaster on the pedestal and microchemical, quantitative and qualitative tests from the samples taken. The proposed reconnaissance can clarify not only the problem of excess moisture, but will also provide an answer as to what material the ground floor was made of and its state of preservation. The strip excavations will, once the subsoil has been documented, be plastered together with a mimetic retouch.
