Biography:

Stanisław Kaczor-Batowski (1866-1946), born in Lviv, son of Wojciech and Antonina, painter. He was educated at the School of Fine Arts in Krakow and at the Munich Academy of Fine Arts, later living in Paris and Rome. After numerous artistic journeys, he returned to Lviv, where he spent the rest of his life and co-founded the Young Poland Artists' Association and ran his own school of painting. He created historical, religious and portrait paintings, and was also involved in mural painting and illustration.
