Biography:

Stanisław Kaczor-Batowski (1866-1946), né à Lviv, fils de Wojciech et Antonina, peintre. Il étudie à l'école des beaux-arts de Cracovie et à l'académie des beaux-arts de Munich, puis vit à Paris et à Rome. Après de nombreux voyages artistiques, il retourne à Lviv, où il passe le reste de sa vie, cofonde l'association des jeunes artistes polonais et dirige sa propre école de peinture. Il a réalisé des peintures historiques, religieuses et des portraits, et s'est également adonné à la peinture murale et à l'illustration.
