Stanisław Pomian Wolski (1859-1894), born in Warsaw, painter, representative of the historical and battle scene trend.

He acquired his artistic education first in Warsaw under Wojciech Gerson, and then in Cracow under the tutelage of Jan Matejko. Thanks to a scholarship, he continued his education in Munich, where he also studied under Józef Brandt. He created historical, military and genre scenes. After returning to Warsaw in 1886, he collaborated with "Tygodnik Ilustrowany". He died young, at the age of 35.
