The Salem High School was built between 1970 and 1976 and was designed by Jerzy Soltan (in collaboration with Edward Lyons), despite the fact that at the time he was mainly devoted to lecturing at Harvard. The school consists of a courtyard surrounded by buildings and an additional technical wing. The structure is made of steel frames and precast concrete, the facades are brick.
