Biography:

Teodor Bogdan Lubieniecki (1654-1716/1717), born in Czarkowy or Siedliska, son of Stanislaw Lubieniecki, painter and engraver.

He trained in Amsterdam under Gerard de Lairesse. He travelled around Europe and served as a mercenary. From 1702, he was court painter to King Frederick I of Prussia. He served as rector of the Royal Academy of Arts in Berlin. In 1706, he returned to the Republic of Poland. He created portraits, fantastic landscapes and drawings of masks of dying warriors.
