In St John's Church in Vilnius there is a plaque and a bas-relief bust commemorating Władysław Syrokomla. Władysław Syrokomla, or rather Ludwik Władysław Franciszek Kondratowicz of Syrokomla coat of arms, was a Polish poet and translator of the Romantic era. He lived in Vilnius from 1857. He was buried in the Na Rossie cemetery in Vilnius.
