Biography:

Zdzisław Lachura (1920-2007), born in Zagórze. Between 1945 and 1950 he studied painting and graphic arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, where one of his professors was Eugeniusz Eibisch. Honoured at the 1955 Arsenal exhibition of Young Visual Arts, he took up social themes, also depicting the life of the Jewish community. His works can be found in collections in Poland and abroad.
