Biography:

Herman Lieberman (1870-1941), studied law in Vienna. In 1894 he received his doctorate from the Jagiellonian University. He was a socialist and was active in the community, initiating, among other things, the construction of the Workers' House in Przemyśl. In the First World War, he fought in the Polish Legions. In 1919, he became a member of the Legislative Sejm. From 1929 to 1939, he was a member of the PPS. Sentenced in the Brest Trial, forced to leave Poland, he moved to France. After the outbreak of WWII, he was one of the vice-presidents of the National Council of the Republic of Poland. In 1941, he was Minister of Justice in Władysław Sikorski's government.
