Biography:

Karol Marcin Bolesta-Jankowski (1868-1928), born in Zaslavl, architect. He obtained his Diploma of Architectural Engineering with honours in 1899 from the Riga Polytechnic. In 1901 he moved to Warsaw, where he started working with the architect Franciszek Lilpop. He was one of the organisers of the Warsaw Polytechnic University. In 1915, he began working there as a lecturer. In 1919 he became an associate professor and in 1921 a full professor in the Department of Urban Design. From 1923 to 1925 he served as dean of the Faculty of Architecture.
