According to Wacław Wejtka's file, Dr Julian Moszyński was born on 1 March 1809 in Lisowo in the Augustów district. He was the chief physician of St James's Hospital and president of the medical society in Vilnius. Originally, the tombstone in the form of a stone slab with an engraved and gilded inscription also commemorated Julian Moszyński's children: Konstanty (d. 29 VII 1845), Bolesław (d. 1 II 1849), Czesław (d. 19 II 1856) and Helena (d. 14 IV 1856), as well as Anna Szerszeniewicka (d. 8 V 1845). The tombstone was funded by the widow Bogumiła. Her tombstone was in turn funded by her son Stefan. It bore the following inscription: Here lie the remains / of Bogumiła z Szerszeniewskich / Moszyńska / + 1878 w. l. 68 / Peace to your shadows dear / Mother //. The monument, which survives today, was erected after the death of Stefan Moszyński.
