Gravestone of Franciszka Kropielnicka and Zofia Lewicka

Chorostków | Ukraine

Burial site marked by an obelisk on a two-stepped plinth and two-stepped base. The obelisk has profiled lower edges with an ornament of stylised rose buds, truncated at the top in the form of a pyramid. On it on the front a rectangular, stepped panel closed with a gabled arch, in which an engraved inscription (1).

Above the panel a relief carved cross surrounded by a garland of flowers. The first step of the plinth decorated with a lesbian kimation. Second step of pedestal cuboidal. On the front a convex panel, with an engraved inscription (2).

On the left side of the pedestal in a fluted frame an engraved inscription (3).

Inscription:

1. D O M / WIECZNEGO / SPOCZYNKU //.
2. Franciszka / KROPIELNICKA / urodzon. […] 1799. zmarła 1[7] / […] 188[3] [r]oku./ Prosi o pozdrowienie Aniel. //.
3. Zofia z Hoszeków / LEWICKA / r [1]8[5]0 + [1]8[9]0 //.

Inwentaryzacja cmentarzy dawnego powiatu buczackiego wykonana została w latach 2017-2019 przez zespół z Instytutu Historii Sztuki Uniwersytetu Kardynała Stefana Wyszyńskiego w Warszawie pod kierunkiem prof. Anny Sylwii Czyż i dr. Bartłomieja Gutowskiego. Materiał opracowany został w formie kart ewidencyjnych obiektów zabytkowych i opublikowany w książce "Cmentarze dawnego powiatu tarnopolskiego", t. 1 i 2, pod red. A. S. Czyż i B. Gutowskiego, Warszawa 2017-2019 roku. Karty inwentaryzacyjne opublikowane zostały w katalogu on-line - http://cmentarzetarnopolskie.uksw.edu.pl/. Dokumentacja obejmuje wszystkie nagrobki związane z polskim dziedzictwem kulturowym (przede wszystkim rozstrzygający jest napis w języku polskim) powstałe przed 1945 rokiem.
