Tombstone of Helena Dziadas

Soborne | Ukraine

Burial place marked by a statue of St Helena on a two-tier plinth and two-tier base. St Helena in contrapposto, holding a cross in her right hand, her right hand supporting the hem of her cloak. Long hair, crown on head, bare feet visible. She is dressed in a long robe and cloak. The figure on its own base. On the front an engraved inscription (1). First step of plinth with chamfered upper edges. To the front, engraved inscription: (3). The second step of the pedestal covered with a wider profiled panel. To the right, in a panel enclosed by a full overhanging arch, a relief of St. Charles Borromeo. The Saint holds a cross in his right hand. He is dressed in an alb and dalmatica, with a stole slung over his shoulders. Below is an engraved inscription: (2).
