Tombstone of Josef and Otylja Kolodziej

Karviná | Czech Republic

Burial place marked by cross on stele and two-stage plinth, in band. Cross on pedestal with arms terminating in a straight line, with the sign of the cross repeated on the front, engraved and filled in with black paint. At the intersection of the arms a ceramic medallion with the convex head of Christ wearing a crown of thorns. Adjacent to the front of the stele is a relief carved plaque with chamfered quarter-circle corners. On it an engraved inscription with letters filled in with black paint (1). Cd. of the inscription on the first step of the plinth (2). Second step of plinth in the form of schematically outlined rocks.

Projekt realizowany przez Fundację Akcja Kultura pod kierunkiem dr. Bartłomieja Gutowskiego. Wykonawcami są studenci Instytutu Historii Sztuki UKSW. Prace rozpoczęły się w roku 2022 i obejmują dokumentację wszystkich nagrobków związanych z polskim dziedzictwem kulturowym (przede wszystkim rozstrzygający jest napis w języku polskim) powstałych przed 1945 rokiem. W roku 2022 wykonana została dokumentacja w Karwinie Dołach, Karwinie Meksyku, Czeskim Cieszynie i Ligotce Kameralnej. Projekt realizowany jest we współpracą z lokalnymi środowiskami Polskimi.
