Tombstone of Tekla Jasinska

Draganówka | Ukraine

Burial place marked by a statue of St Tekla on its own base, two-stepped plinth and two-stepped base. St Tecla depicted with a cross held in her hands at breast level, at the intersection of her arms Christ crucified, under her left foot a lion. The saint in antique robes, wearing a cloak and a headscarf. The first level of the pedestal with chamfered upper edges, on the front a panel enclosed in a quarter-circle at the corners, in which an engraved inscription, 1. The second level of the pedestal topped with a simplified beam, on the front a panel enclosed at the top with a full arch, on the bottom quarter-circle chamfered corners. In the panel, a relief depicts St Anthony with a book under his left arm and a palm branch in his right hand. The saint is depicted wearing a habit with a caparison and a rosary tied around his waist. Below the niche there is an engraved inscription, 2. On the right and left sides of the pedestal there are engraved frames enclosed in a quarter circle at the corners.
