Michalski Manor House in Wierzchówka

The Michalski Manor House in Wierzchówka was a place visited by Juliusz Słowacki between 1825 and 1830, where the poet spent his holidays. In the summer of 1827, he set off from here with Zenon Michalski on a journey across Ukraine, during which he collected local songs and stories. Memories of this place recur in his works: "Beniowski", "Sen srebrny Salomei", "Ksiądz Marek", "Horsztyński" and in the unfinished "King of Ladawa".

The building currently houses a secondary school.
