The note informs of the care which the Professional Union of Polish Writers in Vilnius has provided since 1929 for the so-called Konrad's Cell, where Adam Mickiewicz was imprisoned from 23 October 1823 to 21 April 1824. As part of its activities there, the union set up an artistic reading room, organised literary meetings called Literary Wednesdays, and contributed to the erection of a plaque commemorating Mickiewicz, who was imprisoned there, on the façade of the former monastery wing. Information from the journal "Sztuki Piękne",1934, no. 7, p. 276 (public domain, reprinted from the Library of the University of Silesia, Katowice).
