Dominik Wawrzyniec Dowgiałło (1789-1857), born in Siesiki, son of Kazimierz Dowgiałło and Maria, née Hoppen, researcher, landowner, President of the Civil Chamber. Husband of Countess Broel-Plater (1810-1868). From this marriage a son, Stanisław Grzegorz Ignacy (1810-1868).

Died at 22 rue du Phot, Paris, on 22 June 1857; buried on 24 June 1857 (general number 137529) in the Lebeque crypt; reburied on 27 June 1857 in the Père-Lachaise Cemetery (annual number 14).

obituary: "Dominik Dowgiałło, a citizen of Kaunas province, heir to the Siesiki estate, former president of the civil chamber, loved fine arts and literature, had a particular passion and fondness for architecture - several palaces and churches of his plans were built in various parts of the country; sick for many years, he went with his only son to Paris to seek advice from the well-known doctors there; laid low by a serious illness, he died in Paris on 10 (22) June 1857 at the age of 68, buried in the cemetery of Père Lachaise next to several of his Lithuanian countrymen. Père Lachaise, in addition to several of his Lithuanian countrymen, he left an extensive Lithuanian archaeological collection and quite a large collection of books in his native language and in French".
