Celebration of the erection of a grave monument for the late Franciszek Wołowski .

Following the call of MP Żarczyński , Poles gathered in quite large numbers, on Sunday 12 b. m. At the Pére-la Chaise mourning ground, for the erection of a modest monument on the grave of the late Dep. Volowski . The Polish priest X. Dabrowski read the Holy Mass in the local chapel, after which the whole procession went to the grave. At the ceremony were the two sons of the deceased: Ludwig, a lawyer and professor of commercial law at the Conservatory of Arts and Crafts, and Kazimierz, a clerk in the administration of iron roads, as lying P. Faucher , son-in-law of Wołowski .

The monument is of white marble made in the taste of Roman tombstones. On one of its sides, at the front, is the following inscription: SPÓŁRODACY, SPÓŁWYGNAÑCY, MEMORANDUM OF THE OBVIOUS POLISH SERVICE OF FRANCISZKA WOŁOWSKI DIED XIII ROKU EMIGRACYI, THE STONE HAS BEEN PLACED; on another the same in French.

After a short prayer and the sprinkling of holy water on the grave by the priest .... . Ledóchowski was followed by MP Żarczyński , as one of those delegated to take care of the erection of the tombstone.
