Burial site marked by a figure of a half-sitting man, set on a plinth in the form of a sarcophagus covered by a wider slab and on a base tapering upwards. The sculpture on its own low base, extending beyond the outline of the plinth. A man of young age shown in a semi-recumbent position, supported by his left arm with his right arm folded along his body. Head thrown back and slightly tilted towards the viewer, eyes closed. Hair short, wavy, combed back; detailed modelling of the locks. Moustache fine, slightly curled downwards. Legs straight, right slightly bent at the knee.

Dressed in the uniform of the period of the Second French Republic. Unbuttoned Foreign Legion uniform coat, double-breasted, with lapels turned outwards; collar low, standing, straight, turned up, with plain border. The epaulettes on both shoulders soft, elongated, fringed, flat, slightly drooping; on the right side there is a visible fastener used to attach the epaulettes. Under the button runs a narrow, decorated belt (the so-called bretelle d'épaulette) cinched under the arm. Two decorations, including the Cross of the Legion of Honour, are visible on the left half of the coat. Shirt torn. Trousers fitted, plain. Uppers high, reaching to mid-calf. Officers' shoes with small heel, finished in the round; with slight folds of material at the sole.

Backpack positioned at the headboard, edges flattened, with a prominent pinstripe. To the left, along the body, lies a rifle (reminiscent of a Pattern 1851 Minié) with the butt at the foot and the barrel resting on the backpack. Beneath the left knee visible: a loader and bayonet with fluted tang and straight head in scabbard.

On the long side of the base three symmetrically placed semicircular indentations. Tumba plain. On the left side (longer side) placed on the axis, a Latin cross in relief. The arms shaped like wooden beams - with clearly modelled grain and rough texture, suggesting natural material, with a floral wreath overhanging the upper arm. On the shorter side at the back, a bronze plaque attached to the tumulus with rivets, obscured by rosettes on the front.

Inscriptions on the tomb in engraved font: engraved, majuscule, serif, different size of letters:
- on the longer right side on the left side engraved inscription (1), letters in different rows of different heights.

- on the shorter side on the front on a crowning plate (3)
- on the longer left side on the crowning plate (4)
- on the longer left side, to the left of the cross (5)
- on the longer left side, to the right of the cross (6)

On a bronze plaque, majuscule engraved inscription (2)

On its own bronze sculpture base:
- On the shorter side of the front engraved inscription (8) (the upper line and the first word of the lower line in serif capitals, majuscule script), the two lower lines in italic script, stylised as hand calligraphy, slanted, the letters joined. Inscription framed by engraved decorations on its right side Order of the Legion of Honour (Ordre de la Légion d'honneur), on its left side Medal of the Italian War 1859 (Médaille commémorative de la campagne d'Italie 1859),
. - on the shorter side at the back a prominent engraved inscription (6) framed on the sides by coats of arms (left) Jastrzębiec with helmet, nobleman's crown, labrys. Crown surmounted by a hawk holding in its talons a horseshoe with an inscribed cross. On the right the Pilawa coat of arms with helmet and crown and labrami.
- On the longer left side, the signature of the foundry (italic script, stylised as hand calligraphy, slanted, letters joined).
